In the process of urbanization in multi-mountainous karst areas,a large number of natural mountains were embedded into the city to form urban remnant mountains(URMs).In the process of dense development within the city, the URMs were often encroached upon or engulfed, resulting in the evolution of the landscape distribution pattern in the direction of more fragmentation and separation. At the same time,it would also lead to increased isolation of urban green space system, decline of vegetation communities and ecosystem services.Studying the evolution process of the landscape pattern of URMs in multi-mountainous cities and exploring various influencing factors affecting the process is not only conducive to exploring the characteristics of the urbanization development process of multi-mountainous cities, but also conducive to maintaining the maintenance of urban ecological environment and better playing the functions of URMs’ ecosystems.Taking Guiyang,Zunyi and Anshun as the research objects.Spatial granularity analysis, landscape pattern dynamic analysis, multivariate statistical analysis, driving factor analysis and other methods were used to clarify the change law and key influencing factors of URMs’ landscape pattern in the study area. And proposed corresponding protection and optimization strategies. The results of the study were as follows:(1)In 2010~2020,the number of URMs in the study area decreased rapidly. The degree of URMs’ fragmentation and dispersion increased. The area of URMs’ landscape had been greatly reduced, and the erosion area of construction land and urban green space landscape had increased.Urban green space was affected by the destruction of the URMs’ landscape, and the total area continued to decrease and the connectivity deteriorates.(2)The distribution of URMs with different degrees of damage was uneven among the three cities in the study area.Strong damage and medium damage grades URMs accounting for the largest proportion in Guiyang City.and weak damage grade URMs accounting for the largest proportion in Zunyi City. The driving factors that caused the difference in the degree of urban landmass damage in different cities were different, but the average slope of URMs and the POI density of buffer zone at different levels had a negative effect on the growth of urban landmass damage index. The height of the mountain, the shape index of the mountain, the distance from the main road and the number of POI in the buffer zone at all levels promoted the growth of the URMs’ damage index. The analysis of the driving factors of the spatial distribution of URMs eroded showed that human factors had the strongest explanatory power on the regional distribution of URMs,but natural factors also had a greater influence on this process.(3)In the future, the development and utilization of URMs in multi-mountainous cities can refer to the following strategies: Balance the construction land patches and promote the sustainable development of the landscape;Control rational conversion of unused land;Establish an early warning mechanism for the destruction of URMs and coordinate the construction of green landscapes;Clarifying the value of URMs;Combination of mountain interior and exterior protection. This study has certain practical significance for the conservation of mountainous resources in multi-mountainous cities, and can provide scientific reference for spatial coordination, ecological restoration and urban high-quality development of green spaces in multimountainous cities.
