Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Post-stroke Depression By Electroacupuncture At Pericardium Meridian Points And Its Effect On Blood ACTH And Cor

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of electroacupuncture at pericardial meridional points in the treatment of post-stroke depression(PSD)and its influence on the content of Adrenocorticotropic Hormone(ACTH)and Cortisol Hormone(Cort),to explore the effect of acupuncture on postapoplectic depression and its possible pathogenesis,so as to provide a new treatment idea for postapoplectic depression.Methods: According to the random number table,50 PSD patients were divided into electroacupuncture acupoint group(experimental group)(n=25)and sham electroacupuncture acupoint group(control group)(n=25).Both groups were treated once a day,5 times a week,4 weeks as a course of treatment,2 courses of continuous treatment.The scores of HAMD-24 scale,SDS scale,FIM scale and MESSS scale were observed and compared between the two groups before,after 4 weeks and 8weeks of treatment,as well as the changes of blood ACTH and Cort content before and after treatment,and the data were statistically analyzed and compared.Results:1.Before treatment,there was no statistical significance in the general situation of PSD patients,HAMD-24 scale score,SDS scale score,MESSS scale score,FIM scale score and blood ACTH and Cort content in the two groups(P﹥0.05).2.Intra-group comparison showed that HAMD-24 scale score,SDS scale score and MESSS scale score of PSD patients in experimental group and control group decreased after 4 weeks and 8 weeks of treatment(P ﹤ 0.05),FIM scale score increased(P﹤0.05),and blood ACTH and Cort contents decreased after 8 weeks of treatment(P﹤0.05).3.Comparison between groups showed that the experimental group had better improvement effect on HAMD-24 scale score,SDS scale score,FIM scale score and MESSS scale score,blood ACTH and Cort content than the control group,and the effect was more obvious after 8 weeks of treatment(P﹤0.05).4.The total effective rate of experimental group was better than that of control group(P﹤0.05).Conclusion:1.Electroacupuncture at pericardial points can alleviate depression,improve neurological deficits and improve the ability of daily living in PSD patients.2.Electroacupuncture of pericardial meridional points can balance the disorder of HPA axis,suggesting that acupuncture may be the mechanism and target of intervention of post-stroke depression.
