Correlation Between TCM Five-state Personality, Social Support And Coping Style In Breast Cancer Patient

Objective: To investigate the current situation of TCM Five-Pattern personality,social support and coping mode of breast cancer patients;to explore the relationship among TCM five-Pattern personality,social support and coping mode;to analyze the influencing factors coping styles of breast cancer patients,and p rovide theoretical basis for developing strategies to improve coping methods from the perspective of TCM psychology.Methods: From February to August 2022,a total of 290 breast cancer patients admitted to Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine w ere selected and were surveyed by the general data survey questionnaire,Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS),TCM Five-Pattern Personality Inventory(brief version)and Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire(MCMQ).SPSS26.0 were used for Statistical analysis of the collected data,included descriptive statistical analysis,one-way ANOVA analysis,independent sample T-test,Pearson correlation analysis,multiple linear stepwise regression analysis,Bootstrap test,etc.Results:(1)The scores of each dimension of TCM five-Pattern personality of breast cancer patients in this group are: Taiyang(5.10±2.04),Shaoyang(4.73±2.10),Yin-Yang peaceful personality(5.08 ±1.40),Shaoyin(6.01±1.64),and Taiyin(2.64±2.31),the personality score of Taiyang,Shaoyang and Ta iyin is lower than that of the national norm,and the personality score of Yin-Yang peaceful and Shaoyin is higher than that of the norm(P <0.05);The total score of breast cancer patients(42.99 ± 6.48)was at the medium level,Where the objective suppor t score(10.15±2.55),Subjective Support Score(25.35±4.09),Uitability score for support(7.49±1.79).(2)The results of the univariate analysis showed that,Age,religious belief,education level,occupation,residence,family per capita monthly income,economic negative and exercise after illness were significantly different in the eight coping conditions(P <0.05);There were significant differences in avoidance response among age,educational level,marital status,number of children,surgical methods,endocrine therapy,and other diseases(P <0.05);Religious belief,education level,place of residence,payment method of medical expenses,disease stage,economic burden,Self-rated illness severity,post-illness exercise,time of diagnosis,chemotherapy,and admission purposes were significantly different(P<0.05).In multiple linear gradual regression with three response dimensions as dependent variables,age,education level and family per capita l monthly income enter the face response regression model;age,children and surgical mode enter the avoidance response regression model;education level and self-rated severity enter the surrender response regression model.(3)The confrontation dimension showed significant positive correlation with Taiyang,Shaoyang,Yin-Yang peaceful personality and social support(P <0.05),and significant negative correlation with Shaoyin and Taiyin personality(P <0.05).The submission dimension showed a significant negative correlation with Taiyang,Shaoyang,Yin-Yang peaceful personality and social support(P <0.05),and a significant positive correlation with negative personality(P <0.05).(4)Path analysis shows that social support plays a mediating role in the between the Shaoyang,Yin-Yang peaceful,Shaoyin,Taiyin personality and two coping methods(confrontation mode and submission mode).Conclusion:(1)In this group,the dimension with the highest score of breast personality was higher than that of normal women,the personality score of Taiyang,Shaoyang and Taiyin is lower than that of the national norm,and the personality score of Yin-Yang peaceful and Shaoyin is higher than that of the norm(P <0.05);Social support for breast cancer patients is at a moderate level;Breast cancer patients are more inclined to avoid the disease pressure;(2)age,education level and per capita monthly income of family are the influencing factors;age,children and surgical methods are the influencing factors;education level and self-rated severity are the influencing factors.(3)This group of breast cancer patients had a significant correlation among TCM five-Pattern personality,social support and coping style;(4)The five-Pattern personality of breast cancer patients can predict the coping style,and social support plays a mediating role.The path analysis shows that social support plays an intermediary role in the dimensions of Shaoyang,Yin-Yang peace,Shaoyin and yin personality and two coping methods(confrontation mode and submission mode.It is suggested that medical staff can in itially judge the coping methods of breast cancer patients through five-pattern personality,and specify psychological counseling st rategies according to their personality characteristics.At the same time,help patients improve and make full use of social support to actively deal with the disease and reduce the impact of negative stress events on individuals.
