| In modern Chinese discourse markers, there are some discourse markers that have the function of response, which indicate the state of information receiving and communication of speakers. We define these discourse markers as responsive discourse markers. This paper uses the methods of discourse analysis and experimental phonetics to study the typical representatives of "Ng" "Xing" and "Hao",in order to further verify and enrich the relevant research theories of discourse markers.Based on the investigation of the corpus,we find that the responsive discourse markers "Ng" "Xing" and "Hao" all have reduplication forms, and they are mainly distributed in the beginning of turn in the discourse. They all have interpersonal and textual functions in discourse function.By combing the diachronic development paths of the discourse markers "Xing" and "Hao",we find that both "Xing" and "Hao" developed into discourse markers in modern times, and the development paths are from verbs or adjectives with real meaning to procedural discourse markers. When we analyze the phonetic features of "Ng" "Xing" "Hao",we find that discourse markers,"Ng" "Xing" "Hao" are weaker than other "Ng" "Xing" "Hao".Specifically, most of the speech functions of the discourse marker "Ng" "Xing" "Hao" tend to be weakened, while a few of the speech functions tend to be strengthened. This shows that when a word is regulated as a discourse marker, its overall speech performance will weaken, but the specific speech performance of a function is not necessarily weakened. To a certain extent,it validates and complements the theory of speech fullness and the theory of speech weakening of discourse markers. |
