| The human skeletons from large-and-medium-sized tombs of Dahan cemetery are well preserved with a large number of individuals from different classes during Eastern Zhou period.Carrying out comprehensive bioarchaeological research on it will help to obtain information on the population,diet structure,health condition,living pressure and behavior patterns of the people from different classes in Dahan cemetery,and better understand the burial customs and the human-sacrificed system during the Eastern Zhou period.Chapter one:a brief review of previous research and a background introduction of Dahan cemetery.Chapter two:analyzed the composition of population from large-and-medium-sized tombs in Dahan cemetery and compared the composition of population from different classes.Chapter three:remodeled the height and body mass of the residents from large-andmedium-sized tombs in Dahan cemetery and discussed the difference of body shape from the perspective of social status.Chapter four:observed the caries,enamel hypoplasia,porotic hyperostosis,cribra orbitalia,trauma and infectious diseases on Dahan residents and discussed the health condition of different statues.Chapter five:reconstructed behavior patterns of Dahan residents by observing the entheseal changes of muscles and ligaments and degenerative joints,then made a trial analysis on the behavioral difference between different social statues.Chapter six:discussed the preference of human sacrifices in noble tombs in Qi-Lu cultural area during Eastern Zhou period and inquired into the reasons behind it,then analyzed the death methods of human sacrifices in the area and made a further speculation about the identity of the human sacrifices with amputation.Conclusions:summarized the main points of the chapters above and pointing out the deficiencies. |
