Body Writing In The Novels Of Female Writers In "17 Years"(1949-1966)

"17 years" literature(1949-1966)is quite special in the history of Chinese modern and contemporary literature.It was developed in a specific historical period and political atmosphere,and followed the literary norms of "contemporary literature should take politics as the center" and "literary creation should serve for politics",with strong political characteristics.At the same time,the earth-shaking changes in Chinese society around 1949 had a profound impact on Chinese women.They went out of their small homes and participated in the revolutionary war and socialist construction,becoming the same masters of society as men,and gaining the legitimacy to enjoy the same rights as men.In this historical background,the self-writing of female writers in "17 years" seemed to be just a part of the integrated mode of literature.This paper,from the perspective of "body",re-examines the female works in "17 years",tries to sort out the contradictions and entanglements between different discourse in the text,and discovers the complex relationship between political collective and individual,as well as women.The thesis is divided into four chapters: the introduction introduces the research results of "body" in female writing in "17 years" from two aspects: the research results of female writers’ novels in "17 years" and the research status of "body" in modern and contemporary literature,and discusses the significance and research methods of this thesis.The second chapter discusses the social and political background of female writers’ creation in the period of "17 years" and the paradox and possibility of body writing.The third chapter analyzes the types of body writing in women’s writing,elaborates the types of body writing in the culture of violence and revolution and the types of body writing in love narrative in detail,and integrates the individual experience of female writers into the body writing,which makes the politicized works full of human warmth.The fourth chapter interprets the female body in the text,showing the real living situation of women in and outside the family.In the special cultural context of "17 years",the body expression in female writing is actually the dual call of politics and aesthetics to writers,which makes the female works in this period appear more complex levels to some extent,and enriches the writing space of "17 years" literature.
