| Throughout the long history of western music development,we find that whether it is creation,performance or teaching,it is almost completely broken by male musicians,which seems to have become a“history of male music”,while the“marginalized”female musicians are only mentioned occasionally as a foil for some well-known male musicians.They are buried among male musicians,but more of them are “disappeared”.The social reality that women are dominated by male patriarchy is the main reason for the social status of female musicians.The traditional gender bias hinders women’s right and opportunity to receive music education.Only a few rich families can receive good education.Unequal social prejudice makes them become male appendages and social aliens.With the outbreak of the romantic movement,the European democratic movement and the national liberation movement,the social status of the bourgeoisie has risen.They have launched strong resistance to feudal thought and the Christian Church.The ideology of anti oppression,anti exploitation and the pursuit of equal human rights has spread rapidly among people of different classes,fields and races.Under such a positive background,Female musicians in the romantic period also bravely used music as a weapon to cry out for the pursuit of gender equality and equality in education.Therefore,the relevant systems of women’s education are gradually reformed in European countries.Women born in rich families are gradually provided with the right to education.More and more women boldly go out of their homes and enter professional music colleges to receive professional music education,They began to participate in public life as performers or composers,hold music parties or support some public concerts,engage in corresponding music activities,and many female musicians are engaged in the music teacher industry.In the music life at that time,female groups became the main recipients and consumers of music.Although men still have a certain view of women’s music activities,believing that women are naturally weaker than men,have no innovation and can’t create great music,women in the 19 th century despised these remarks.Their actual situation turned these remarks into impossible.They used music as a weapon to protest against unequal treatment.They broke through many difficulties and created and played many excellent music,Although some tracks have not been saved,they have proved that women can also have superhuman creativity and talent.Moreover,the artistic value and historical influence of female musicians in the romantic period of the 19 th century in the field of music can not be measured,so they should not be ignored by history.Facing the “absence” of female musicians in the history of western music,with the aim of finding and excavating neglected and forgotten female musicians,this paper takes western The Romantic Period female pianists as the breakthrough point through literature research and historical research,and carries out research and writing through the following five chapters: The first chapter is the introduction,including research background,research status,research purpose and significance,research content and methods;The second chapter analyzes the situation of female musicians in The Romantic Period from three aspects: the number of female musicians in The Romantic Period,the status of female musicians in The Romantic Period and the music education of women in The Romantic Period.The third chapter knows that women have made the greatest achievements in the field of piano through the close connection between women and piano in The Romantic Period.This chapter will focus on introducing little-known female pianists who have been buried by the world.The fourth chapter analyzes the contribution of female musicians to music history from three aspects;Chapter V Conclusion.It is hoped that the research of this paper can make some contributions to the research of female musicians,and make some reference for the follow-up research of female music activities. |
