Jean Batiste Simon Chardin is one of the greatest painters in France and a still life painter with outstanding achievements in the history of western art.In France in the 18 th century,he extended the subject matter of still life paintings to the daily lives of civilians who had not been noticed before,choosing kitchen utensils and fruits and vegetables as objects of description.In French society at that time,as advocated by the court,soft and luxurious Rococo art rose and became a social trend,French painting dominated by Rococo painters such as Buché and Fragonard.Sheldon chose the daily necessities of French civilians as the theme,and carefully observed and described all kinds of extremely ordinary life appliances,Pursuit of Simple and Natural Painting Style.Simple life utensils in his works show unique beauty Still life seems to be endowed with fresh vitality,into a highly artistic painting.The formation of any kind of artistic style is not born out of nothing.It is often accompanied by the changes of the times and the development of society Artists are living in different times or influenced by different cultural beliefs and aesthetic consciousness.Therefore,the unique artistic style formed by artists in their long-term personal creation is the product of their real feelings and social influence.Since I was a child in rural life,the memory of the family,behind the people and stories are unforgettable,those from the real feelings of life,but also gives the author many creative inspirationThis paper will conduct in-depth research from the following four aspects,The first chapter is to explore the historical background of Chardin,understand his personal life and detailed analysis of Chardin ’s representative works of still life painting,focusing on the study and research of Chardin ’s oil paintings in the selected topic,composition,color,light and shadow painting language;the second chapter expounds the enlightenment of Chardin ’s paintings on individuals from the reflection of emotion and real life;third,according to the inspiration and influence of Chardin’ s painting works on individuals,combined with life perception and observation and exploration of daily still life,fruit and vegetables in the kitchen and daily utensils as the theme of creation,painting practice creation,and then discusses in detail;fourthly,summarize the research and practice creation of oil painting still life.
