Study On Animal Images Of The Northern Song Tomb

This thesis collects 115 decorated Song tombs reported in northern China,mainly distributed in Henan,Hebei,Shandong,Shanxi,Shaanxi,Gansu,Ningxia and other places.The animal images of tombs in the Song Dynasty mainly show domestic animals,birds,walking animals,Swiss animals,etc.The common six animals are the most common and have the largest number,and there is a certain gap between the animal images in different regions.On the whole,the art form of animal images in the Northern Song Dynasty is mainly realistic style,the Central Plains with murals as the carrier,while the northwest China has more brick carvings.All kinds of animals,characters,plants and other images are combined to reflect different specific connotations.In the decorative position,the top of the tomb,the upper layer,the bottom of the tomb are fixed.The decorative images between different tombs in the same area are similar in composition and animal morphology depiction,reflecting the group of craftsmen,powder and template in the tomb decoration at that time.In addition,the animal images in the tombs can understand the production and living conditions of the people in the Song Dynasty,and then discuss the corresponding culture,economic development,folk customs and foreign exchanges in the Song Dynasty.Looking at these real materials from another perspective,it provides help to update our understanding of the social appearance of the Song Dynasty.
