In the early 1920 s,after the founding of the Communist Party of China,in the process of guiding the Chinese revolution, the Comintern gradually established a policy of cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party. At the Third National Congress of the Communist Party of China,it was established that members of the Communist Party of China should join the Kuomintang as individuals and implement the cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party. In the case of repeated failures,Sun Yat-sen agreed to cooperate with the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, accepted Borodin’s suggestion and made up his mind to reorganize the Kuomintang. After basically unifying the party’s thinking, under the guidance of Borodin and the active participation of the Chinese Communists, the Kuomintang established an interim Central Executive Committee and began to prepare for the first National Congress of the Kuomintang. The preparatory work mainly included the drafting of conference documents, the number of representatives and the Determination of election methods, arrangement of conference affairs, etc. The "Draft Constitution of the Chinese Kuomintang" drafted during the preparatory process, the "General Constitution of the Chinese Kuomintang" adopted by the National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the "Constitution of the Chinese Communist Party" passed by the Second National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and the "Constitution of the Russian Communist Party" adopted by the Twelfth National Congress of the Soviet Communist Party are in the structure. There are great similarities in content, which reflects the huge influence of the Comintern and the Communist Party of China on the Nationalist Party. The frequent occurrence of problems in the election process of the first major representative of the Kuomintang reflects the weakness of the Kuomintang grassroots organizations. On January 20,1924,the first National Congress of the Kuomintang officially opened in Guangzhou. It was adjourned for three days in the middle of the session, and closed on January 30.The congress lasted for ten days. The meeting was basically carried out according to the expected plan, but there was a heated debate when discussing the Declaration of the First National Congress of the Chinese Kuomintang and the General Constitution of the Chinese Kuomintang. The division made unremitting efforts to successfully pass the manifesto and charter.During the convening process, the Comintern and the Communist Party of China further mastered the right to speak, and even played a leading role. The convening of the first National Congress of the Chinese Kuomintang marked the complete reorganization of the Kuomintang and the formal formation of the cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party. It was also a successful practice of the Communist Party of China’s united front policy. However, due to the fact that the Communist Party of China was in its infancy and the political situation was complicated at that time,it ignored the revolutionary leadership and the party’s organizational construction, which led to a gradual unfavorable position in the national revolution, until the final revolution failed. These experiences and lessons are all that we must conscientiously sum up in our united front work. |
