Space And Etiquette: A Study On The Cultural Inheritance Of Dong Nationality House Song

With the deepening of modernization and the accelerated pace of urbanization,the cultural space of the Dong people’s “house songs” originally based on the acquaintance society has been impacted by the new production methods.Thus the corresponding etiquette culture is also changing more or less and some special and regional culture is disappearing.However,with the development of people’s multicultural thinking mode,and the use of the Internet and electronic products expanding the cultural space of the "house",the modern inheritance of “house songs”culture of the Dong minority between the southern and the northern Dong district has a new development direction.The paper borrows the relevant theories of space and etiquette,uses research methods such as participant observation and in-depth interviews,and takes Shangpingtou Village,Luoli Township,Liping County as the investigation point,to explore the specific appearance of the Dong “house songs” culture and to think about the reasons for its difficulty in modern inheritance.The study found that the Dong “house songs” appeared on important cultural occasions in Shangpingtou Village.The content themes included marriage and love songs that appealed to "love",ritual songs that expressed "mainstream consciousness",and praise songs reflected local "economic conditions".The singing method of the Dong “house songs” is mostly duet with the same tune and lyrics with different meanings can be filled in according to different needs.Because of the difference between the singing space,the relationship between the house and the song is also different.The biggest difference between the outside and the “house” is in the tune and the meaning of the words;and the Dong “house songs” sung in different times and spaces in the “house” are also very different in emotional expression.In the singing and learning of the Dong “house songs”,you can learn about the local etiquette behavior and gain insight into the social etiquette and modern forms of the cultural group in Shangpingtou village.The lyrics of the Dong “house songs” are all-encompassing and rich in content.From the perspective of words and etiquette,we could explore various social orders contained in the lyrics of the Dong “house songs”,and think about how the Dong “house songs”can continue to serve people’s cultural life in today’s society and the modern inheritance of the Dong “house songs” should be what kind of cultural path.At present,the protection and inheritance of the Dong minority’s overall ethnic culture is becoming of increasingly great concern,especially the Dong minority’s music style of "taking song as the medium" exudes different charms in different fields such as economy,politics and culture.In the Dong area around the boundary between the northern and the southern Dong distract where the Dong culture is diverse,the music style combines the different characteristics of folk songs in the northern Dong distract and ballads,ritual songs,etc.in the southern Dong distract,thus formed a unique form of the Dong “house songs”.“House songs” are not only a way and a tool for social entertainment,but also a link for cultural exchanges within a ethnic group.Through the social investigation of “house songs” of the Dong minority,we could have further knowledge and expand propaganda about “house songs”,which makes the Dong “house songs” culture return to the daily life of the local people,and promotes the construction of rural culture in the Dong minority area and the integration of relations with other ethnic groups.Ethnic harmony is also foothold and the destination of the article.
