| Since the 1990 s,under the influence of globalization and post-modern trend of thought,Korean gangster films have frantically absorbed the creative experience of other countries(regions) in the same genre and incorporated local cultural characteristics,transforming and reconstructing the characters,film themes and expressions of violence in the films,presenting relatively unique anti-traditional characteristics.In this process,gangster films have occupied a prominent position in the Korean film market and become an important factor in the prosperity of Korean films.Violence aesthetics is the most prominent aesthetic feature in gangster films.This aesthetic concept has gradually become prosperous through the successful practice in movies in America and Chinese Hong Kong.In the context of post-modern film creation,the diversified cultural background and author’s consciousness make the presentation of "violence" tend to be diversified and stylized in form and connotation.Korean gangster films have been subtly influenced by different regions and different styles under the conditions of changes in domestic industrial management policies and the increasingly developed film and television technology production.As a major visual label of Korean gangster films,the presentation of violent aesthetics is constantly changing,and it will continue to exist and develop with various possibilities as the aesthetic interests and needs of the audience change.Since pornography and violence are always restricted by the national censorship system,this paper explores the similarities and differences in the expression and aesthetic concepts of the violence aesthetics of Korean gangster films in different historical contexts to explore their cultural significance and social functions,so as to propose benign strategies for the scale of violence expression and localization transformation in favor of dry domestic films.The article will be divided into four parts to analyze and discuss.The first part is the introduction.It mainly includes the elaboration of the research background,the summary of the related research results,the research significance,the definition of relevant concepts,and the elaboration of research significance and methods.The second part traces the origin of Korean gangster films.It mainly combs and analyzes the development background and process of Korean gangster films.The third part is the core part of the article,which is composed of two chapters.First,the thesis will select representative Korean gangster films to conduct an in-depth analysis,analyze and explain their audiovisual language,narrative style and other genre characteristics;The evolving process of violence aesthetics in gangster films is explained,and its motivation is analyzed in detail.Including the motive of violence,the scene of violence,the space of violence and the image of the perpetrator;the fourth part is the enlightenment of Korean violence aesthetics to the development of Chinese movies.The thesis will discuss the enlightenment significance of the successful development of Korean genre films to Chinese films,including the experience and trend prospects of grasping the scale of violent expression and localization transformation. |
