A Study On The Chinese Remake Of Korean Films

China's remake of Korean films has been six years since " A Wedding Invitation" is shown in 2013.But from the current film,the Chinese remade is not doing the task well in the process of localization.In summary,Chinese creators often have the following characteristics when remaking Korean film remake: Based on the local market as the basis for type selection,basically retaining the original narrative structure and image style,localizing mainly surrounding the characters and details,and the theme embodies the spirit of Chinese traditional culture.These features,to a certain extent,guarantee the presentation of the local content in the remade film,but the rough changing ignores the logical relationship with the original,and eventually push the films into an embarrassing situation.By comparing and analyzing the three most common commercial types(comedy,love and crime film)in the Chinese remake of Korean films in recent years,this paper summarizes the local adaptation strategy of Chinese Korean films,and finds out the difficulties and shortcomings of China's remake of Korean films,and then puts forward the sound development strategy of cross cultural remake for Chinese Filmmakers.
