Song Dynasty Hunter Study

A large number of “Liehu” names appeared in the Song Dynasty.Hunters is widely distributed in the Song Dynasty,which reflects the local ecological environment to a certain extent.During the Northern Song Dynasty,there were hunters in most of the north: there were a large number of hunters in Shaanxi,Hebei and Jingdong,and more in the Jingxi.In the south,there are many hunters in Lianghuai,Jiangzhe,especially the east and west roads in the south of the Jiangnan;there are also hunters in Sichuan,Jinghu,Guangnan and Fujian,where the level of economic development is low,and hunting accounts for a large proportion of their economic development.A large number of people moved southward in the Southern Song Dynasty,and the contradiction between people and land increased suddenly,but there were still a large number of hunters,especially a large number of hunters emerged in Lianghuai and Jinghu during the Song and Jin dynasties.During the Song and Yuan dynasties,a considerable number of hunters in Jinghu area participated in the war.The main reason affecting the distribution of hunters in the Song Dynasty is the local ecological environment,good ecology,many wild animals,and some hunters changed their jobs because of ecological degradation.Hunters in the Song Dynasty had a set of effective hunting methods.Due to the limitations of population and topography,there was less hunting,and usually two or three people hunted together or hunted alone.In the process of hunting,we often adopt the method of long-range ejection hunting,and we often use long-range weapons such as crossbows and crossbows,as well as poisons,knives and other tools.Nets and traps are used to restrict the movement of prey and not to make ground thorns in traps in order to maximize the value of prey.The most direct contribution of hunters in the Song Dynasty was to provide meat and prey fur to the society,to meet the needs of the government and society,and to catch wild animals with medicinal value to meet the medical needs of the society.Hunters went into the mountains and found some secrets and novelties,enriching people’s cognitive system.Hunters also bears the responsibility of protecting the lives and property of people near the mountain,and assists the army in defending the city and fighting in wartime,with remarkable military functions.However,Hunters in the Song Dynasty was not affirmed by the official and folk mainstream voices.In the Song Dynasty,the official Chongwen,Hunters was martial and prone to trouble,and some hunters in the Song Dynasty hunted and killed a large number of rare birds and animals in pursuit of high profits.It will be opposed by the mainstream voice of the Song Dynasty.
