In the Yuan and Ming dynasties, influenced by the thought of Cheng and Zhu,many works of Zhu Xi’s Poetry Anthology Preach were introduced. In the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties, the scholar Liang Yin’s Shi Yanyi also belongs to the derivation of the work of Poetry Anthology Preach. In his preface,Liang Yin stated that the purpose of supplementing the Poetry Anthology Preach was for young students, and the purpose was to make the hidden obvious, and to make the detailed briefly, and to append to the Poetry Anthology Preach those who have other opinions that are desirable. And Shi Yanyi reflects Liang Yin’s idea of respecting Zhu Xi and revering Poetry Anthology Preach. The article is divided into five parts: The first part introduces Liang Yin’s life and writings.Through the examination of Liang Yin’s family’s history and biography,we can further understand Liang Yin’s person and learning, and also lay the foundation for the next study of Shi Yanyi. The second part explores the background of the book, from two aspects: the historical and cultural background of the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties and the mentality of the scholars,as well as the research on the Book of songs, and through the study of the changes of the times and the mentality of the scholars, the reasons why Liang Yin wrote the book. The third part focuses on the deduction of the Shi Yanyi from Poetry Anthology Preach, and discusses it from two aspects, namely, the direct inheritance of Zhu Xi’s sayings and the improvement of Zhu Xi’s sayings. On the basis of this,Liang Yin respects Poetry Anthology Preach, and inherits Zhu Xi’s ideas on the interpretation of poetry, the purpose of poetry, and the determination of Fu Bi Xing.On top of this,Liang Yin also improves the incomplete meaning of Poetry Anthology Preach and refutes the errors. In the fourth part,we analyze the Shi yan yi,starting from the quotations of the Shi yan yi,and learn how Liang Yin’s quotations were used to explain the names and objects. It then analyzes the characteristics of the interpretation of the Shi Yanyi, which focuses on exegesis, the integration of Han studies, the investigation of righteousness, the promotion of Song studies, the literary and textual literacy, the attention to the psychology and emotions of the characters, and the consistency and literary nature of the interpretation. The author of Liang Yin’s obscene poems also presents a different viewpoint, arguing against Zhu Xi’s self-referential words of the obscene runners. The final part is a concluding remark, summarizing the value and shortcomings of the Shi Yanyi and pointing out its position in the academic history of the study of the Book of songs.
