Ding Ling,a Chinese modern modern revolutionary female writer, has created countless excellent works throughout her life, which reflect the social conditions in different historical periods and play an important role in the history of modern Chinese literature. Her works have also been adapted into various artistic forms in different periods, including films,TV dramas and comic books. At present, there are still few academic studies on the adaptation of Ding Ling’s classic works. This paper is to carry out the research in order to open up a new world in Ding Ling’s research. The first chapter discusses the adaptation of Ding Ling’s classic works in the seventeen year period(1949-1966).The adapted texts of this period are the Chinese supplementary reading "decisive battle" in 1953 and the preliminary literary reading "struggle Qian Wengui" in 1955.From the perspective of character image adaptation, the leaders and participants in the "mobilization structure" of land reform have become the key shaping objects, which is manifested in the strengthened mobilization structure; From the perspective of plot adaptation, both works focus on the display of the "violent story" in the revolution, that is,the plot of "struggle against Qian Wengui" in the original work, which constitutes an exciting revolutionary picture of mass emotion; From the perspective of theme design, both works emphasize the proletarian revolutionary movement and adopt the creative method of socialist realism. The adaptation of Ding Ling’s classic works in this period was revolutionary, mainly because at the beginning of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the Communist Party became the ruling party.Based on the practical needs, consolidating the people’s political power and restoring the national economy became an important consideration for the party to formulate literary and artistic policies. In the early days of the founding of the people’s Republic of China,China learned from the Soviet Union in both economic construction and literary policy. The literary and artistic creation method of socialist realism has also become an important method of literary and artistic creation in our country. The second chapter discusses the adaptation of Ding Ling’s classic works in the new period(1978-2000).The adapted texts of this period include the 1984 comic book "an unloaded bullet",the 1985 TV series "Ms.Safi’s diary" and the 1988 TV series "the sun shines on the Sanggan River".From the perspective of character image adaptation, the comic book "a bullet without a bore" still pays attention to the shaping of revolutionaries, and the little red army is "heroic" and "typical";The TV series "the sun shines on the Sanggan River" and "the diary of Ms.Sophie" pay more attention to the depiction of individuals and create a group of men and women with more modern consciousness. From the perspective of plot adaptation, the comic book "a bullet without a bore" still has a strong revolution. The TV series "the sun shines on the Sanggan River" further strengthens the description of real life, and the TV series "Ms.Safi’s diary" has a western material culture and tragic style. From the perspective of theme design, the dual themes of revolution and modernity exist in the adaptation of works at this time, showing a landscape of continuity and coexistence of old and new.The adaptation of works in this period is characterized by revolutionary survival and the return of modernity. The revolutionary continuation lies in that the cultural system that has just emerged from the dilemma of the "Cultural Revolution" has not been completely reversed to a certain extent, and the national ideology is still playing a continuous influence. The return of modernity is that China has vigorously implemented reform and opening up since 1978,the construction of market economy has gradually entered the stage of sustainable development, the literary and artistic system has gradually moved towards modernization, and the pursuit of diversified modern style has become the mainstream of the literary world at this time. The third chapter discusses the adaptation of Ding Ling’s classic works in the new century(from 2000 to now). The adapted texts of this period are the 2003 film "Zhen Zhen" and the 2012 comic book "the sun shines on the Sanggan River".From the perspective of character image adaptation, the film "Zhen Zhen" not only secularizes Zhen Zhen’s personality, but also pays attention to the care for the fate of small people such as bandits and orphans; The comic strip "the sun shines on the Sanggan River" is more "rustic" and "popular" in shaping the cadre group. From the perspective of plot adaptation, the film "Zhen Zhen" focuses on the suffering of the people at the bottom of the daily life during the Anti Japanese War,while the comic book "the sun shines on the Sanggan River" vividly shows the land reform movement in nuanshuitun in specific life details. From the perspective of theme design, the theme of the two works in this period is the full spread of secularity. The reason is that since the new century, with the prevalence of consumerism, people began to pay more attention to the enjoyment of daily life, followed by the lack of pursuit of spiritual value, the noble discourse in literary and artistic creation has been increasingly replaced by public discourse, and the narrative of daily life has become a normal. The traditional red classic culture has also been dissolved under the prevalence of consumerism, repackaged and moved towards the cultural market. |
