There were many representative calligraphers in the official script of the Qing Dynasty. They had a hundred flowers blooming and a hundred schools of thought contending in the calligraphy circle of the Qing Dynasty, which made the calligraphy circle of the Qing Dynasty present a prosperous scene.Among many calligraphers,Yi bingshou’s official script style is very characteristic. He has formed his own family and has a far-reaching influence. This is due to his continuous study and extensive reading of the classic inscriptions of the Han Dynasty. It also enabled him to occupy an important position among many calligraphers in the Qing Dynasty.Kang Youwei commented on him: "it integrates the great achievements of Han Li and the talents of stakeholders".His research and innovation on ancient Li have also achieved a bright pearl in the history of Chinese civilization.Yi bingshou’s in-depth study and adoption of official script in the Han Dynasty is the key to achieving a fair, accessible, hard and vigorous style of calligraphy. The style of Yi bingshou’s official script was influenced by those aspects. After being influenced by these aspects, how did he inherit, innovate, absorb and abandon in many official scripts of the Han Dynasty.Based on this problem, this paper will take Yi bingshou’s research on the choice of official script in Han Dynasty as the theme.First of all,the process of Yi bingshou’s official script style from germination to maturity is complex. The main factors that play a role can be summarized into three aspects: first, the influence of the social environment in the middle of the Qing Dynasty on Yi bingshou’s study of official script.2 、Communication with people and ideological collision.3、 The origin of Yi bingshou’s official script and the establishment of its style. The research on the above three factors is the first part of this paper, that is,the research on the formation of style.Secondly, after in-depth summarizing the style of Yi bingshou’s official script, this paper makes a comparative analysis between Yi bingshou’s official script and Han Dynasty’s official script. The analysis is mainly carried out from the three main angles of stippling, calligraphy and space. In the analysis,it will be applied to Qiu Zhenzhong’s Calligraphy form analysis method and the analysis method in ancient calligraphy theory, through the combination of ancient and modern calligraphy analysis methods.Comprehensively summarize the trade-offs made by Yi bingshou’s official script to the official script of the Han Dynasty. The main content of the analysis is the comparison between Yi bingshou’s surviving official script works and the official script rubbings of the Han Dynasty. Finally,it is the positioning of Yi bingshou’s official script in the history of calligraphy. This part mainly compares the style characteristics of Yi bingshou’s official script in the mature period with the calligraphers in the same period,so as to obtain the historical positioning of Yi bingshou’s official script achievements. It summarizes the historical significance of Yi bingshou’s choice of official script in the Han Dynasty. The above three parts are mutually causal.First, only after the style is formed can there be a mature art form.By comparing the style of Li Shu in the mature period of Yi bingshou with that in the Han Dynasty,we can summarize the trade-offs of Li Shu in the Han Dynasty. In this way,we can make a clear historical orientation for the historical achievements of Yi bingshou’s official script. At the same time,we can inspire people’s learning and creation of official script calligraphy through Yi bingshou’s idea of studying official script.
