A Study Of Storytelling Narratives In Opera Documentaries

Among the traditional art film and television works,documentaries have always been the main force of film and television creation,the catalyst for the rejuvenation of traditional art,but the art of opera is very exceptional.The study finds that the creative characteristics of documentaries themselves,coupled with the limitations of the opera subject matter itself,have resulted in a situation where opera documentaries as a whole present a high and low profile.The article takes film and television narrative as the theoretical basis,and makes a research and summary on the storytelling narrative of opera documentaries through the methods of literature and case study analysis.Firstly,it defines the concept of opera documentary and summarizes the four types of opera documentaries;later,it points out the inevitability of the development of storytelling in opera documentaries and constructs the mutual relationship between them.Secondly,it summarizes the arrangement of storytelling elements and narrative techniques in opera documentaries,combines with specific cases to elaborate theoretical research and explore the development direction of storytelling in opera documentary narratives.Finally,the article’s research on the storytelling narrative of opera documentaries enriches the research materials in the fields related to opera documentaries and has a certain reference value.It changes the single and boring narrative characteristics of the past and proposes a storytelling perspective that combines omniscient perspective with internal perspective and creator’s perspective;sequential,serial and panel narrative structures enhance the interest of opera documentary narratives;in addition,it also combines narrative techniques such as opera music,details,narration and montage in opera documentaries to increase the storytelling narrative effect of opera documentaries.A simple and systematic summary of storytelling narratives in opera documentaries is presented to provide feasible theoretical and practical experiences for the creation of opera documentaries in the future.
