| Writing is written communication,a comprehensive output of language,and an important part of English teaching.In the process of writing,vocabulary,morphology,syntax and other language knowledge can enable students to perform a second knowledge reproduction,writing can test the true mastery of knowledge,students can learn English from grasp to grasp.In all kinds of English tests,writing accounts for a significant proportion of students writing mistakes.This means that English writing cannot be ignored.Therefore,action research method was adopted to conduct this study in the senior D primary school where the author teaches.The research is mainly divided into the following parts:Firstly,design research action research program.It is carried out from two aspects:first,two classes in grade 6 of primary school in D city are taken as the research objects to grasp the learning situation,and the teaching of Daming’s Travel and My Favourite Festival are taken as the research content,with the participation of two peer teachers;the second is to determine the idea of this action research,which covers three stages:preparation stage;action implementation stage;the post-implementation phase of the operation.Secondly,conduct action research according to the program.In the implementation process,it is carried out from the following aspects:one is to analyze the types of writing errors according to the writing pre-test;second,take the teaching of Daming’s Travel as an example to carry out the first round of action research;the second round of action research is based on the teaching of My Favourite Festival.Fourthly,after the two rounds of action research,the writing post-test is carried out for students,and the content design,record sorting,analysis and summary required by students’ interviews are carried out.Finally,present the findings and suggest action.The findings are as follows: firstly,the teaching of English writing error analysis in senior primary schools is feasible and effective;secondly,peer correction and group correction in class can improve the efficiency of error correction;thirdly,the limitation of class hours,interference of mother tongue and wrong writing style affect students’ English writing;fourthly,the introduction of writing evaluation is beneficial to improve students’ writing confidence.Suggestions for action: firstly,teachers should correct their attitude towards writing mistakes and correct them pertinently;secondly,teachers should use various forms of listening,speaking,reading and writing to improve students’ English writing ability;thirdly,teachers can reduce students’ writing errors through the teaching activities of daily word memorization and sentence training;fourthly,teachers should design carefully and reflect deeply on the teaching of error analysis in English writing. |
