Research On The Art Of You Shou Official Script

You Shou is a famous female calligrapher of the last century,good at seal,clerical,regular,and xing,especially in clerical script.The achievements of Youshou official script can be used for reference today,so the author takes the art of Youshou official script as the research object.This article is divided into four parts.First,by analyzing the inheritance of You Shou’s family,trace the origin of his calligraphy.You Shou’s life is divided into three periods: early,middle and late.The author’s research on You Shou’s family inheritance and life is regarded as having an objective influence on the formation of his official script.Then,in You Shou’s thoughts on the creation of official script,he extracts You Shou’s ideas of chasing Han stone and the law from Jin and Wei.The idea of temporary creation of official script can be regarded as You Shou’s subjective pursuit of official script.Second,the author analyzes the representative works of his official script,starting from copying,and divides copying into clear and vigorous and heavy and ancient.Third,take the time as the axis of You Shou Lishu’s creation works,and the mid-1980 s was the watershed.The former mainly took French and Han Lishu,and the latter added regular script to Lishu.Fourth,based on this,the author draws on the method in You Shou’s official script,and uses the form of couplets,strip screens and middle halls to create,forming a series of creations with the theme of "robustness and honesty".
