| The phenomenon of modern artists’ crossover design is a cultural and social phenomenon that cannot be ignored in the current world. In essence, the study of the phenomenon of modern artists’ crossover design is a study of the design creation and design collaboration that modern artists have engaged in across the boundaries of design fields since the Mid-19 th century. This paper presents a theoretical study of the phenomenon of modern artists’ crossover design from the perspective of design science through five chapters. The paper firstly compares the transformation of artists’ crossover identities from mixture to division to superposition in the historical dimension. Then, from the multiple perspectives of artists, designers and design-related theoretical researchers, mass consumers, communication media and commercial investors,it presents the multidimensional view and meaningful judgment of different groups on the phenomenon of modern artists’ crossover design in a complex society. In addition, the paper explores the important meaning of crossover design by artists in the light of modernity. It also sorts out the mutual influence between crossover artists and crossover design works from the perspective of their relationship. Finally, from the perspective of the relationship between art and design, the underlying laws behind the phenomenon of modern artists’ crossover design are discussed, and the influence and meaning of modern artists’ crossover design are once again explained from a macro perspective. In this way,the phenomenon of crossover design by modern artists is analyzed and deconstructed in terms of historical dimensions, social relations and essential logic. |
