| "Strings of silence" is a Pipa work with the characteristics of Indian music style created by young composer Sun Jing in 2018.Inspired by the 100 th song of Tagore’s gitangali,it draws lessons from the performance methods and musical effects of traditional Indian instruments Sitar and tabra drum,vividly deals with glide,overtone and decorative sound with Pipa,a traditional Chinese instrument,and imitates the sound effects of resonant strings.By combining the musical form and characteristic technical points of Pipa music "Strings of silence",together with the experience of performance practice,the work is presented more completely from inside to outside.This paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter discusses the musical morphological characteristics of the "Strings of silence",including analyzing its musical structure,melody color and emotional characteristics.The second chapter reflects the charm of Indian music elements in the work from the representative instruments of India and their combination with Pipa,and summarizes the Indian music style in the "Strings of silence".The third chapter is on the content of expressing the Indian music style through performance practice,combined with Pipa techniques and performance practice,analyzes the "Strings of silence",gradually standardizes the academic writing,and records the key points of Pipa performance practice of the "Strings of silence" for better learning. |
