Purpose of the study: To investigate the teaching effect of the scaffolding teaching mode in the teaching of children’s Latin dance,so as to confirm the feasibility and effectiveness of the scaffolding teaching mode in the teaching of children’s Latin dance,with a view to providing a practical basis for improving the quality of children’s Latin dance teaching and promoting the overall development of students.Methodology: In this study,40 students from the Little Dance School in Huai’an,Jiangsu Province,were divided into experimental classes(N=20)and control classes(N=20).A 12-week teaching experiment was conducted using the scaffolding teaching model and the traditional teaching model respectively to analyse the changes in students’ physical fitness,interest in learning,sense of cooperation,independent learning ability and special skills learning performance before and after the experiment.Research results:(1)The effect of scaffolding mode on children’s 50 m run,standing long jump and shoulder rotation with a stick was significant(p<0.01);(2)The effect of scaffolding mode on children’s interest in learning Latin dance was significant(p<0.01);(3)The effect of scaffolding mode on children’s sense of cooperation was significant(p<0.01);(4)The scaffolded teaching model has a role in children’s independent learning skills(p<0.05);(5)The effect of scaffolding mode on children’s special skills learning was significant(p<0.01).Conclusions:(1)The scaffolded teaching mode has significantly improved the speed and flexibility of children compared to the traditional teaching mode,while the improvement of lower limb strength is not much different from the traditional teaching mode;(2)The scaffolded teaching mode can better stimulate children’s interest in learning;(3)The scaffolded teaching mode can better promote the development of children’s sense of cooperation and independent learning ability;(4)The scaffolded teaching mode has improved students’ performance in special skills tests to a greater extent and the overall level of the class has improved faster. |
