The Study On CuiBai’s Magpies And Hare

As a painter connecting the past and the future in the Northern Song Dynasty,Cui Bai not only inherited the mantle of court style painting and inherited the techniques of "yellow body",but also pushed the painting of the Song Dynasty to another glory.Starting from Cui Bai’s Magpies and Hare picture,this paper tries to analyze the expression of the life spirit of the work.Through the exploration of pen and ink in the Magpies and Hare picture,we can understand the style and interest of pen and ink in the Northern Song Dynasty.After copying and learning,it is found that the "Magpies and Hare picture" has little ideas in the business position,and the curve shape of branches is relative to the black and white of rabbits and birds,which is very similar to the Tai Chi picture.This paper also uses this breakthrough to study the relationship between Cui Bai’s painting style reform and Neo Confucianism.This paper compares Cui Bai’s painting of double happiness with Pan Tianshou’s painting of pine and eagle.It is found that the two works use a large area of blank space in the composition,and are similar in the treatment of foreground and background and the construction of environment.The two works express the same environment with different scenes and various strength,leaving a gap in the "separation" to revitalize the overall situation.While pursuing a distant and bleak climate,the weather is immortal,ethereal and remote,peaceful and full of harmony.
