Textbooks are the link between classrooms,teachers and students,and the reading assistance system is an important part of this link.In a theoretical sense,the research on the reading assistance system can enrich the research perspective of the reading assistance system,promote Chinese as a foreign language academic circle to pay more attention to the reading assistance system of the textbook,and promote the optimization of the reading assistance system.For teachers and students,the study of the reading assistance system is conducive to improving the quality of compiling teaching materials for Chinese as a foreign language,helping teachers to grasp the editor’s intentions,organizing teaching,and guiding students to learn and improve their abilities.Based on the significance of the reading assistance system,the similarities and differences of the reading assistance system of Chinese textbooks are deeply analyzed,its characteristics are summarized,and the writing of the reading assistance system is optimized.On the basis of consulting a large number of documents,this paper selects two sets of representative local Chinese textbooks "Integrated Chinese" and "Discover China",which are specifically targeted at the teaching object of English as the mother tongue.By using literature research method and comparative analysis method,this paper makes a comparative study of the reading assistant system in the two sets of textbooks from five categories : prompt,annotation,culture,information and illustration,and comprehensively and systematically analyzes the characteristics of the reading aid system in the two sets of textbooks;In the research process,statistical method is used as an auxiliary to count the page classification rate and the number of illustrations in the textbooks;Besides,the questionnaire survey method is used to further investigate the learners’ views on the reading assistance system of Chinese textbooks.It is hoped that through the application of various methods,the similarities and differences of the two sets of textbook reading assistance systems will be sorted out,the characteristics of each will be found by comparison and the optimization direction of the reading assistance system will be explored,so as to provide reasonable suggestions for the compilation of Chinese textbooks.Based on the comparative analysis results of the two sets of Chinese textbooks and the survey results of Chinese learners ’ views on the reading assistant system,this paper will put forward optimization suggestions on the writing of the readingassistant system from five aspects: prompts,illustrations,culture,materials and annotations.In terms of prompts: The editors should set up the double directory orientation,the full coverage of the introduction and the multiple arrangement of the prompt from the arrangement of the introduction,the guide and the prompt;in terms of illustrations: the appropriate number of pictures and the types of diverse choreography should be cleverly integrated into the cultural connotation.At the same time,the layout of icons and tables should be rich and diverse;cultural aspects:advocating the presentation of pictures and texts,contrasting presentations and the selection of rich,practical,traditional and modern content;data aspects: setting up a systematically scattered and simultaneous presentation method while giving full play to the rich and comprehensive as much as possible to play a rich and comprehensive function;Annotation: To make language notes and the level to adapt to the rich and diverse characters and text content,which should be closely linked to arrangement of the textbooks from the perspective of language annotations,characters and text content,.
