Ingmar Bergman is a well-known Swedish director and one of the most visible presences in the history of world cinema.Ingmar Bergman is world-renowned for his theological rebellion system and philosophy of life and death,standing at the top of film art.Ingmar Bergman was the cornerstone of the Genesis era of world cinema,since he was called the seventh art.In representative works such as "The Seventh Seal," "Wild Strawberry," and "Silence," he persists in thinking and questioning the value of religious belief,digging and judging the spiritual world of mankind,arguing with intuition and entangling with himself,facing the subject of life and death directly to the soul.This paper is divided into two parts: introduction and subject.The introduction part systematically collates the current research situation of Bergman at home and abroad,expounds the significance of the research,and discusses the key points and difficulties of the research.The main part of the thesis is divided into four chapters.The second chapter combs the life of Ingmar Bergman.Taking the 19 th century Swedish playwright Strindberg as the representative,from the Swedish literary heritage and the family religious environment two cuts,digging deeply into Bergman’s artistic concept and film writing in the mature early stage by the Nordic playwright influence.The third chapter analyzes the embodiment of nihilism in the world of Bergman’s imagery based on the loss and questioning of Ingmar Bergman’s belief world.The fourth chapter expounds Bergman’s trial of the individual and the world from the multiple antagonistic spiritual subjects in Ingmar Bergman’s film.Through the subject of psychoanalysis,the dreamscape in Wild Strawberry is interpreted to find out that "feeling" is the only answer to enter Bergman’s godless film world.The fifth chapter,starting from the theater,combines the Strindberg stage play "Ghost Sonata" directed by Ingmar Bergman and the clues influenced by the expressionist style in his film creation to highlight the practical significance of Bergman’s change of beliefs under expressionism.Through the family environment and life experience of Ingmar Bergman,The manifestation of nihilism in its works in three aspects: form,philosophy,and faith,Ingmar Bergman’s Spiritual Trials of Individuals and Characters,Especially the meaning of interaction with women to the creation of female characters in their works,And four aspects of Ingmar Bergman’s use of expressionism as a new connotation for faith values,Analysis of film and theatre productions under its direction,Seeking new ideas of Ingmar Bergman’s film interpretation provides reference value for domestic film creation. |
