Research On The Prefaces And Postscripts Of The Novels Of Gods And Demons In Ming And Qing Dynastie

Mythical novels are one of the important themes of ancient Chinese novels and one of the important schools in the history of Chinese novels.The prefaces and postscripts of novels are the positions for ancient Chinese novelists to elucidate novel theories,and they are the common forms of ancient novel criticism.The prefaces and postscripts of divine and mythical novels are rich in variety,and their contents,forms and styles have unique literary charm.At the same time,they have very precious literature value,which can provide records for the development of novel theory,reflect the specific religious culture of the times,and preserve a lot of first-hand information about the dissemination and acceptance of novels.This thesis takes the prefaces and postscripts of Mythical novels as the main research object,which is divided into three chapters.The first chapter clarifies the basic concepts of ’ Mythical Novels ’,traces the historical origins of the development of prefaces and postscripts,and summarizes the achievements and shortcomings of the collation and research status of the prefaces and postscripts of Mythical Novels.The second chapter introduces the prefaces and postscripts of Mythical novels from three aspects : form,content and characteristics.It classifies the prefaces and postscripts of Mythical novels from the perspectives of the relationship between the novel prefaces and postscripts and the work,and the relationship between the novel version and the version.Then,it discusses the highly individualized content in the prefaces and postscripts of Mythical novels from the four aspects of sustenance emotion,expression thought,feeling world affairs and history consciousness.Finally,it analyzes the internal characteristics of the prefaces and postscripts of Mythical novels different from those of other novels and the ideological trend of ‘three religions and one source’,as well as the parallelization characteristics of duality and allusions in sentences and the parallelization style of elegant and popular blend.The third chapter expounds the intrinsic value of the prefaces and postscripts of Mythical novels from two aspects.The prefaces and postscripts of Mythical novels contain three novel theories : fictional theory,ontology and functional theory.At the same time,they contain rich publication information of novels,and some prefaces and postscripts involve the presupposition of readers of ‘Journey to the West’.Finally,taking the evolution of the 20 th to 40 th chapters of ‘Sansui Pingyao Biography’ as an example,and the Taoist group in the prefaces and postscripts of ‘Journey to the West’ as an example,this paper discusses the promoting effect of the prefaces and postscripts of Mythical novels on the spread of novels.
