FANGSHI's Directions of Handwriting is a book written in 1794 by Yu Lingfang,who was born in Wendeng,Shandong Province.It will be discussed in this paper that proofreading the book with two ancient versions and exploring the author's experience of his handwriting career in more than 60 years.The references of the book will also be dug out,especially the connections with the two books,Preface and Postscript by Huang Tingjian and Preface and Postscript by Su Shi.In Chapter One,the words of the book were proofread and the mistakes in the former version were analyzed in detail.In Chapter Two,it was divided into three parts to discuss how Yu Lingfang's arguments were formed,besides,Yu's calligraphy works were interpreted with the theories of the book.In Chapter Three,the references of the book were in statistical analysis.In Chapter Four,the connections with the Huang Tingjian and Su Shi of the book were in deeper discussion.
