With the deepening of China’s internationalization,teaching Chinese as a foreign language has entered a new era.The field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language is more determined than ever to explore the unique teaching theories and methods of Chinese.Therefore,the scientific research literature carrying the painstaking efforts and wisdom of scientific research workers in teaching Chinese as a foreign language is growing rapidly.By using the visual analysis software CiteSpace and taking 1598 core journal papers in CNKI database as the data pool,the purpose of this paper is to map the knowledge of teaching Chinese as a foreign language in China,describe,analyzing and evaluating the research status of teaching Chinese as a foreign language in China,so as to understand the theoretical achievements of teaching Chinese as a foreign language from multiple perspectives and directions,and effectively promote the research and development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language in ChinaThis study draws the following conclusions:(1)the annual volume of the research literature within the traditional Chinese teaching domain in China generally fluctuates and decreases.(2)High yielding authors include Li Quan,LV bisong,etc.but no large cooperative group has been formed within the author.(3)Colleges and universities are the main scientific research institutions,which has 73 articles published by Beijing Language University.(4)Among the journals on Teaching Chinese as a foreign language,Beijing Normal University ranked first with the advantage of 32 documents.(5)In the statistics of project funds,China’s social science funds topped the list with an absolute advantage of 42,and the National Natural Science Foundation and the national education science planning topics ranked second with an advantage of 7.(6)the main research topics in the field are as follows: HSK,Chinese international education,foreign students,output oriented method,error,vocabulary teaching,communication culture.
