Research On The Creative Strategy Of Character Documentary From The Perspective Of Traditional Culture

Character documentaries focus on creating character images,telling character stories,reflecting characters’ emotions,and showing characters’ real life and living conditions.They have profound aesthetic value and humanistic charm.Under the guidance of culturology,anthropology,semiotics and other theories,this paper analyzes the creation strategies of character documentary combined with the graduation design work "Life of Light and Shadow",in order to provide a new perspective for the research ideas of character documentaries.In this paper,starting from the purpose and significance of topic,defines the concept of character documentary,distinguishes between culture and traditional culture concept,combines with domestic and foreign scholars study the status quo,and using literature research,case study,comparative research,and other research methods,analysis of documentary creation strategy,forming a systematic discussion.On this basis,combined with their own graduation design works for analysis,deficiencies to learn from excellent films at home and abroad and make improvements.This paper carefully combs the academic theory construction of character documentary from two aspects,specifically the generation mechanism of the creation strategy of the character documentary based on traditional cultural thinking,and the traditional culture inheritance path and image transmission way of character documentary.The generation mechanism of creation strategy of character documentary based on traditional culture mainly includes three parts: space-time constitution and inheritance of traditional culture gene inheritance,transformation of viewpoint and expression of cultural psychology,props and presentation of cultural elements.The traditional cultural inheritance path and image transmission methods of character documentary mainly include typical shaping of character image,cultural consciousness and comprehensive presentation of lens language,and the cultural interpretation and diversified selection of content expression form.The typical shaping of character images is embodied in five aspects: detail presentation,traditional cultural symbol,space presentation,long lens scheduling and music ideogram.The cultural consciousness and comprehensive presentation of lens language are reflected in the authenticity of the content,the coherence of the events formed by interpretation and the orderliness of the rhythm of music expression.The cultural interpretation and diversified selection of content expression form includes three aspects: the switching and application of diversified expression perspective,the direction of multi-type expression structure and the application and communication of multi-modal theme metaphor.This paper takes excellent documentaries such as "Little Master","The Great Craftsman" and "Looking for Craft" as research models,through in-depth analysis on different aspects of their creative strategies and explores the cultural values reflected in them,reflecting the profound value of character documentaries in the inheritance of traditional culture.The last chapter combines traditional culture to create and elaborate the graduation design work "Life of Light and Shadow",and put the theoretical research on character documentary into practice.
