A Study On The Tone Cut At The End Of "The Records Of The Western Regions Of The Tang Dynasty

Pilgrimage to the west in the Tang Dynasty is widely spread at domestic and abroad.There are two main forms of circulation,one is offprint and the other is with Yin Qie at the appendix.However,the latter is less and its phonological characteristics and features of the times need to be verified.I select the Si Xi edition of the Song Dynasty and Japanese edition Kuan Yong as the research objects from the edition with Yin Qie.Then,comparing the Yin Qie with the Yi qie jing yin yi by Hui Lin,taking Guang yun as the measurement standard of phonological status,regarding Wang San,Jing dian shi wen,Ke hong yin yi,the Fan Qie of Zhu Ao as the assistant index,analyzing and describing the features of literature and Fan Qie and phonetic of Yin Qie.Finally,I speculate that the era of Yin Qie is roughly from the late Tang and Five Dynasties(836-960)to the second year of Chongning in the Northern Song Dynasty(1103).The dissertation is separated into five sections:The first section is the introduction,which explains the significance of this topic,research status,research objects and research methods.The second section is the first part,which describes the versions with Yin Qie of the Pilgrimage to the west in the Tang Dynasty stored in China and Japan,discusses the characteristics of Kuan Yong and Si Xi,proves that the Yin Qie of the two versions is homologous.At the same time,I traces back to the earliest version of Yin Qie.It comes from the enclosed phonetic meaning of Pilgrimage to the west in the Tang Dynasty in Chongning tripitaka.The third section is the second chapter.This part compares the Yin Qie with Yi qie jing yin yi by Hui Lin and presents it by listing.There are 366 Yin Qie that exactly the same as Hui Lin’s wording,414 Yin Qie that are different from Hui Lin’s wording but have the same phonological status,202 Yin Qie with different phonological status from it,34 Yin Qie are not found in it.The fourth section is divided into three,four and five chapters,which analyzes the "Yin Qie with different phonological status from Huilin".Firstly,the integrity and common of Yin Qie are investigated;Secondly,it describes the characteristics of the Fan Qie and the equal opening and closing consistent reverse Yin Qie;Thirdly,the characteristics of phonological tones and Chong Niu are analyzed.Finally,the phonetic features of the Yin Qie are summarized and its generation era is speculated.The fifth section is the conclusion,which expounds the conclusion and points out the shortcomings in the research process.
