Study On The Epitaph Of Luo Wanshun

Yan Zhenqing is a representative figure in the history of Chinese calligraphy.His regular script calligraphy is groundbreaking.His regular script style is very different from that of the"two kings",the aesthetic standard of calligraphy at that time.With a strong and simple unique style,Yan Zhenqing is independent of the calligraphy world.At the same time,he broke the monopoly of the two kings’ calligraphy style since Jin Dynasty,injected a dose of fresh blood into the calligraphy world,and created a new regular script mode.This new regular script style has epoch-making significance.The evolution of its calligraphy style has also become a key factor in the study of its calligraphy style.As its early representative work,the Epitaph of Luo Wanshun has extremely important research value.The Epitaph of Luo Wanshun is the only early calligraphy work of Yan Zhenqing that has been excavated through scientific archaeology since 2020.The excavation of this epitaph is of great significance to the study of Yan Zhenqing and the calligraphy style of the Tang Dynasty.In addition,the content of the epitaph provides new evidence for the study of the history of Xianyang region in Shaanxi and the Yuan family in the Tang Dynasty.The excavation of Luo Wanshun’s Epitaph provides us with updated and more authentic historical materials for the study of Yan Zhenqing’s calligraphy and the history of the Tang Dynasty.The foothold of this study is mainly on the calligraphy value of the works written by Yan Zhenqing in his early years,as well as the authenticity problems caused by the works written by Yan Zhenqing in his early years,the formation of calligraphy style and whether it has the value of learning and reference.This article is mainly divided into four parts.The first part is the textual research and interpretation of the epitaph of Luo Wanshun.It interprets the original inscription into vernacular Chinese,and adds notes to the original epitaph.It discusses the authenticity of the epitaph of Luo Wanshun.The discussion of its authenticity is mainly divided into two aspects:first,it distinguishes its authenticity by analyzing the calligraphy techniques of the epitaph,It is mainly identified by comparing the other two epitaph works in Yan Zhenqing’s early period.2、Through the textual research on the content of the inscription,whether it is consistent with the overall background of Yan Zhenqing’s era at that time,we can identify its authenticity.Finally,judge its authenticity and explain its learning value;The second part analyzes the calligraphy style of the epitaph and compares it with the works of different periods,and makes a comprehensive and systematic technical analysis of the whole epitaph from the perspective of calligraphy;The third part concludes the reasons for the formation of Yan Zhenqing’s early style of calligraphy and the influence on the establishment of his later style of calligraphy;The fourth part analyzes the value of learning and learning,making it a good learning text in the process of learning books in the future.The article mainly solves four problems:First,annotate and translate the epitaph of Luo Wanshun;Second,it draws a conclusion on the authenticity of Luo Wanshun’s Epitaph;Thirdly,it affirms the value of learning and learning,and also criticizes and points out some unsteadiness and non learnability of Yan Zhenqing’s early calligraphy;Fourth,summarize the formation of Yan Zhenqing’s calligraphy style.
