A Study On The Singing Of Licheng Folk Songs-

Historically,Licheng District of Jinan City was a place with profound cultural accumulation,known as "the First City of Qilu",where many literati and writers appeared.The Great East,in The Book of Songs,the first poetry collection in China,has been considered as the earliest folk song in the history of Licheng.There is a total of 42 folk songs recorded in Selected Licheng Folk Songs,which are of various genres and rich themes.They are relatively mature local folk songs,but there are few articles on them at present.So,the increasingly active Licheng folk songs are really worthwhile exploring in-depth.The main content of this paper is to study the singing of three Licheng folk songs with different themes.By analyzing the written materials of folk song manuscripts,published books and the performance materials of Licheng folk songs,it is found that Licheng folk songs boast rich themes and various types,including folk songs and work songs,as well as rural minor and folk custom songs,depicting people’s enthusiasm for life and cherishing of emotions in Licheng,while reflecting the social life at the time of the songs.By analyzing the musical characteristics of Licheng folk songs,the author learns about the logic embodied,thereby enhancing the level of singing;by analyzing the dialect rhythm,the singing could become more local;by analyzing the themes and character shaping,the influence of regional culture on the masses could be better learned so that the styles and characteristics of Licheng folk songs could be further understood;by analyzing the singing and articulation included in the singing,useful singing suggestions for professional singers and vocal amateurs could be provided.As a native of Licheng,the author hopes to record the Licheng folk songs and enrich the research materials for them in a written way,giving full play to my meager strengths to the protection,inheritance and development of Licheng folk songs.
