Study On Landscape Painting With Idyllic Themes In Song Dynasty

In traditional Chinese painting,pastoral scenery is one of the subjects often expressed by painters.While landscape painting with idyllic themes was influenced by agriculture and inspired by idyllic poetry,its flourishing started with a new understanding of "idyllic beauty".The Chinese people admire the leisurely and comfortable idyllic life in their daily life,and this yearning for the idyllic garden made the literati repeatedly chant the idyllic garden in their hearts,and the history of literature produced landscape poems and idyllic poems,and the history of painting produced landscape paintings and customary paintings with the idyllic garden as the theme.Before the Song Dynasty,painters mostly painted mountains and hills,leaving relatively few works depicting the scenery of rivers and countryside.As the Song Dynasty enjoyed social stability and the ruler implemented a series of positive policies,it saw a growing sense of literature and art.Against this background,the literati’s idyllic spirit and the artistic"transformation of vulgarity into elegance" during the Song Dynasty contributed to the development of landscape painting with idyllic themes.The first chapter of this paper analyzes the purpose of the selected topic and the current status of the study.Chapter two starts with the meaning and characteristics of the idyllic theme,compares its development process,and analyzes the reasons and characteristics of the mature development of landscape painting with idyllic theme in the Song Dynasty in the light of the political,economic and cultural background of the Song Dynasty.Chapter Three classifies and analyzes the scenes of Song Dynasty landscape paintings with idyllic themes.Chapter four explores the aesthetic connotation of Song Dynasty paintings with idyllic themes from the perspective of the aesthetic and poetic expression of seclusion through the analysis of works with idyllic themes.Chapter five applies the inspiration gained from the study of Song Dynasty landscape paintings with idyllic themes to his own creations,illustrating them in the context of his creative works.Pastoral landscape painting is loved by people because of its unique artistic beauty.Through the real and inner countryside depicted by the brush,the direct and specific real style of rural life is presented by the painter,so as to create a more natural and quiet ideal paradise.The understanding of the content and form,interest and artistic conception of pastoral landscape painting in the Song Dynasty undoubtedly has a positive enlightening significance for the research and creation of contemporary landscape painting.
