The Classification And Research Of The Handicraft Materials Of The Bin Group Inscriptions In The Collection Of Oracle Bone Inscriptions

In the period of Shang Dynasty,industry was a very important part of the mature economy.Oracle bone inscriptions are the earliest known systematic characters in China.It can see through all aspects of social life in the Yin and Shang Dynasties.It is an indispensable first-hand material for us to study the politics,economy and culture of the Shang Dynasty.The oracle inscriptions of bin group are the largest group in the oracle bone description,which contains a large number of oracle inscriptions about the handicraft industry of the Shang Dynasty,which intensively reflects the development of handicraft industry in the Yin and Shang Dynasties.This paper mainly discusses the classification of handicraft industry,workers in handicraft production and management system in Wuding period by sorting out the basic materials of handicraft industry in Bin group’s Oracle.The full text is divided into five parts:The first part is introduction.This part mainly explains the relevant concepts,sorting scope and selection criteria of rhetoric examples of the industry,and briefly combs the achievements made by the academic circles in the phased classification of Oracle Bone Inscriptions and the handicraft industry of the Shang Dynasty in the past120 years.On this basis,it explains the research significance and research methods of the article.The second part is the classification of handicraft materials seen by bin group.This part classifies and arranges the industrial materials according to the four subcategories divided by the Oracle words of bin group.After preliminary sorting,handicraft materials are divided into 8 categories: construction industry,textile industry,smelting and casting industry,jade industry,bone industry,wood operation,wine industry and pottery industry,with a total of 36 items.The third part focuses on the classification of handicraft materials seen by bin group.This part discusses the basic situation of handicraft industry in the Yin and Shang Dynasties through the connection and arrangement of the seven handicraft materials of architecture,textile,smelting and casting,bone making,wine making,jade making and woodwork in the Oracle words of the bin group,and combined with the archaeological excavation data.The study found that there were many kinds of handicraft products in the Yin and Shang Dynasties,the division of labor of each category was clear,and may follow a certain production process.The fourth part studies the craftsmen and management system in the Yin and Shang Dynasties.This part studies the management system of handicraft industry in the Shang Dynasty by sorting out the materials of handicraft workers in the inscriptions of bin group,combined with the tombs of handicraft workers excavated by archaeology.It is found that the handicraft industry management system of the Shang Dynasty is a four-level management system,the first level is the king of Shang,the second level is the engineer,the third level is the right(left)Yin Gong,and the fourth level is the engineer.The fifth part is the conclusion,which summarizes the main contents of the article and explains the deficiencies.
