Tchaikovsky is known as Russia’s famous master of music and melody.His music works have unique characteristics of the Russian national music school,and often have strong dramatic conflicts,which vividly reflect the Russian people’s inner grief and desire for a happy life under the rule of the Czar.This paper selects Tchaikovsky’s piano music "Dumka" for analysis and research.This paper consists of three parts: preface,text and conclusion.The preface elaborates the purpose and significance,research trends,research steps and methods of studying Tchaikovsky piano music "Dumka".The main body is composed of five chapters,which are analyzed from the creation background,creation techniques,music version comparison,sound version comparison,personal performance analysis and other aspects of dumka.The second chapter mainly analyzes Tchaikovsky’s life and creation and the literature background of Dumka.Chapter three analyzes the creation techniques of Tchaikovsky’s Dumka Op.59.Chapter four analyzes and compares the scores of the three versions;The fifth chapter is a visual comparison of the sound of Horowitz,Ashkenazy,Pletnev,Lang Lang and Zhao Chengzhen.The visual analysis and comparison of the sound of Horowitz,Ashkenazy,Pletnev,Lang Lang and Zhao Chengzhen are carried out through the spectrum software,and the individual processing and interpretation of the performance of the music is summarized.The sixth chapter carries on the visual analysis and comparison between the author’s sound and the pianist’s sound,and puts forward the personal view to the music performance;The conclusion is the summary and reflection of the text.Tchaikovsky is an important representative of the romantic period music,"dumky" is an important work of the late Tchaikovsky,study "dumky" can see romantic period piano art development and achievements,but also provide more intuitive performance data for learners learning this song in the future.
