After the founding of the People’s Republic of China,in order to revive and develop the national economy,ceramic industry has also become the supreme priority of Jingdezhen’s economy.This study focuses on the relevant historical facts in the process of cultural communication of Jingdezhen porcelain in the special historical period from the 1949 to the 1990s.Based on the different historical periods,production and technological progress,technical cooperation,product export and foreign affairs,etc.are all revealed in Jingdezhen’s Top Ten State-owned Porcelain Factories.This research mainly uses the methods of consulting archives and relevant literature,comparative research and fieldwork to explore.Through this study,on the one hand,it is hoped to reflect the relationship between foreign ceramic cultural communication and national development and progress.On the other hand,it provides reference for the foreign cultural communication of Jingdezhen porcelain in the new era.This study first analyzed the historical background and favorable conditions for the"Top Ten State-owned Porcelain Factories" in Jingdezhen to engage in external ceramic cultural communication.In the early days of the founding of the People’s Republic of China,Jingdezhen chose the socialist camp countries for political and economic communication.Subsequently,in Chapter 3,it was discussed that in the process of communication with socialist camp countries,the "Top Ten State-owned Porcelain Factories" promoted the industrialization and modernization of ceramics,laid the foundation for subsequent talent cultivation,consolidated the strength of the socialist camp,and created a different path for diplomatic relations;In Chapter 4,it is discussed that after the reform and opening up,the "Top Ten State-owned Porcelain Factories" have gradually accelerated their pace of going abroad,earning foreign exchange for the motherland,supporting the development of socialist modernization,deepening other countries’ understanding of Chinese traditional culture,stimulating their desire to understand excellence,and promoting the development of friendly relations;Finally,by summarizing the new changes in production techniques,decorative aesthetics,and political and economic benefits that have emerged in the process of cultural communication of ceramics with foreign countries,it is reflected that the "Top Ten State-owned Porcelain Factories" in Jingdezhen have achieved modernization,mechanization,and automation in ceramic production processes;In terms of ceramic decoration aesthetics,it has been guided by foreign orders,further expanding the external market,and providing beneficial support for promoting economic and trade communication;In serving the economic construction and foreign affairs,it meets the requirements of utilizing advantageous technology to strive for and generate more foreign exchange,which is in line with the practical needs of China’s foreign economic and trade exchange in the early stages of socialist construction;The ceramics produced by the "Top Ten State-owned Porcelain Factories" in Jingdezhen,due to their good ceramic image and connotation,serve the national overall foreign affairs strategy.
