| There is always a topic about morality in society. When evaluating whether a person or thing is moral, individual moral judgment standards under different emotions may differ, leading to some people being able to accept certain people or things, while others cannot. At present,in the field of moral judgment,it has been found that cognition affects the relationship between emotions and moral judgment standards, but the mediating role of cognitive factors in this relationship has not been studied.Emotional motivation is an emotional factor, while time pressure is a cognitive factor. The mediating effect of time pressure on the relationship between emotional motivation and moral judgment standards can be considered.Previous studies have demonstrated the joint effect of psychological distance and emotional motivation on moral judgment standards, suggesting that psychological distance may regulate the relationship between emotions and moral judgment, but no in-depth research has been conducted. Therefore, this study will take the theory of emotional dual processing as the starting point to explore the relationship between emotional motivation, time pressure, and moral judgment standards. It will also explore the regulatory mechanism of moral judgment standards using psychological distance as the moderating variable, aiming to enrich relevant theoretical achievements and further understand moral judgment from an emotional perspective, thus providing some reference for the practice of moral emotion education for college students. This study is divided into three parts: a preliminary experiment,in which 36 college students were recruited to investigate whether time constraints cause time pressure in moral judgment problems, and whether there are significant differences in moral judgment among different time pressure groups. In Study 1,a univariate inter group experimental design was used to investigate whether different levels of emotional motivation have different effects on their moral judgment standards, and the mediating effect of time pressure on the relationship between emotional motivation and moral judgment standards. In this study,132 participants were assigned to groups with different levels of emotional motivation to watch pictures evoked by different emotional motivations, and then completed the emotional measurement scale and moral judgment task, and then measured the time pressure of moral judgment task. The results indicate that(1)approaching emotional motivation can positively predict moral judgment standards, while avoiding emotional motivation can negatively predict moral judgments.(2)Time pressure plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between emotional motivation and moral judgment.Study 1 verified the effect of emotional motivation on moral judgment and explored the mediating mechanism of time pressure on emotional motivation and moral judgment.Study 2 recruited 208 subjects, using a 4 * 2 inter subject experimental design,to explore the regulatory role of social distance in the relationship between emotional motivation and time pressure,to clarify the boundaries of the impact of emotion on moral judgment. The results show that social distance plays a negative role in the relationship between time pressure and moral judgment. Conclusion: Time pressure plays an intermediary role in the relationship between emotional motivation and moral judgment, and social distance plays a regulatory role in the first half of the intermediary path. |
