The origin of China ceramic painting art can be traced back to the Neolithic Age,and ceramic materials greatly promoted the diversified development of painting art.In the late Qing dynasty, ceramic decoration was dominated by complicated stylized patterns, which made the development of ceramic decorative painting fall into a bottleneck. However, the light crimson colored porcelain painting that appeared in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China entered people’s field of vision with its unique literati painting temperament, which brought a new direction for the development of ceramic painting art.The art of pale crimson colored porcelain painting not only develops the expression of ceramic painting decoration, but also expands people’s artistic thinking and encourages people’s innovation in ceramic painting. It has become an important link in the history of ceramic painting art in China and plays a connecting role in the development of ceramic painting art history.Pale crimson painted porcelain draws lessons from the painting techniques and freehand brushwork style of China’s pale crimson landscape paintings. This form of literati painting makes pale crimson painted porcelain create a beautiful and elegant painting style, which makes modern ceramic art have new artistry and appreciation. Most of the existing pale crimson colored porcelain paintings are made by Xin ’an porcelain painters, and their outstanding artistic style, temperament and aesthetic concept are influenced by Xin ’an painting school. This paper takes the relationship between Xin ’an Painting School and Pale Jiangcai as the research object, analyzes the social, economic and humanistic factors behind them from the perspective of regional culture, and discusses the spiritual concept of Xin ’an Painting School by analyzing the works of Xin ’an porcelain painters.By combing these factors and their immanence,we can have a deeper understanding of the relationship between light crimson colored porcelain and Xin ’an Painting School, and their important contributions to the development of China ceramic painting art.The study of this correlation also provides a broader perspective for examining the development of modern ceramic painting art in China.
