The Narrative Research Of Group Character Documentare "Decisive Choice"

Sometimes the same people’s self-perception and life choices have become blurred.The group portrait character documentary is a kind of creation type in the character documentary.It records the daily life of real people and shapes the image of the characters,at the same time,it focuses on expressing the inner feelings of a group of characters,and finally reflects and explores the social and cultural phenomenon.In the process of documentary creation,what narrative strategies and narrative techniques should be used in the documentary are the key points,because the narrative strategies affect the framework construction and content expression of the documentary.Using different narrative strategies will not only make the documentary completely different,but also make the ideas to be conveyed by the documentary different.Therefore,in the creation of documentary,the choice of narrative strategy and narrative skills is crucial,and the group portrait documentary is no exception.The group portrait character documentary "Decision" focuses on the college graduates who are at a critical turning point in their lives.It uses the "group portrait" shooting method to present the group image and real life state of the graduates to the audience,reflecting the real life state of the graduates today.This paper is based on the group portrait documentary "Decision",and discusses the narrative strategies such as typification and storytelling used in the documentary as well as the narrative techniques such as interview,follow-up and long shot.The protagonist of "Decision" is three protagonists with different social roles and different attitudes facing the graduation season in a special period.It describes the attitudes and choices of graduates in the face of employment or higher education,and records their real life and emotional world at that time.Through shooting and recording the life and psychological state of the three protagonists,this paper studies the internal narrative structure and external narrative skills of the group portrait documentary "Decision".Starting from the introduction,this paper expounds the research background,research status and research content of "Decision".Then the concept of group portrait and group character documentary is elaborated;he third chapter is about the internal narrative strategy in the group portrait documentary "Decision";The fourth chapter is about the narrative techniques of the group portrait documentary "Decision";The fifth chapter summarizes the experience and shortcomings accumulated by the author when shooting the group portrait character documentary,and accumulates rich theoretical and practical experience for the future documentary creation.
