Study On The Narrative Strategy Of The Group Image Documentary

The group image type character documentary uses the lens to meticulously record the daily life,language and psychological activities,living environment,etc.of the characters,so as to show the relationship between people and people,people and society,which has important social and cultural significance.This article aims to study the narrative strategies of group like character documentaries,taking the creative characteristics of relevant types of documentaries in the past decade as the background,and combining with the creative practice of the graduation work "Migratory Flow",analyze and explore the narrative strategies of group like documentaries from three aspects: narrative strategy foundation,narrative strategy selection,and narrative strategy guidance.The first part starts from the narrative strategy foundation of group portrait style character documentaries,discusses the narrative spatial structure of group portrait documentary family space and social space,analyzes the inheritance and transmission of the intergenerational relationship between the "mother body" and "child body" character images,and decodes the deep semantics of the group image of characters.The second part starts with the selection of narrative strategies for group portrait style character documentaries,discussing the construction of narrative characteristics in group like character documentaries from narrative perspectives,micro perspectives,narrative structures,and narrative rhythms.Using diverse combinations of narrative perspectives and storytelling from micro perspectives to shape the emotional perspective of group portrait narrative,presenting story clues in a non-conflicting linear and network narrative structure.Finally,analyzing the internal and external narrative rhythm of group portrait character documentaries through individual conflicts,language clues,and the intersection of images.The third part starts from the narrative strategy orientation of group portrait character documentaries,exploring the multiple discourse systems of group portrait character documentaries.Through the discourse presentation of the internal individual destiny and family intergenerational relationship,this paper analyzes the multiple humanistic concerns contained in the group portrait documentary and lucubrates the theme power of the group portrait documentary with the dual external "survival dilemma" of the city and society.The conclusion part summarizes and reflects on the research of group portrait documentaries,hoping to provide some reference for future researchers.
