Marsha Norman,as one of the representative figures of American women playwrights,is considered to be the most successful writer engaged in serious feminist drama creation in the United States today,and her works pay attention to women’s experience and the living conditions of women in the context of 20 th century American society,and permeate profound feminine care.Her masterpiece "Night,Mothe" is a rare philosophical play in American theater."Night,Mothe" takes the dialogue between the heroine and her mother before committing suicide as the main story line,revealing the tragic experience of women in a patriarchal society.This dissertation takes the lines of "Night,Mothe" as the research object,analyzes the creative tendency,language skills and functions of the lines,reveals the character and emotional transmission contained in the lines of the daughter and mother in the play,and uses the research results to carry out the secondary creation and shooting of the stage play.Through the comprehensive use of lines,it provides a reference for the performance creation of "Night,Mothe".
