The rapid development of new media technology has made language communication more diversified.Speech,as a typical form of language communication,relies on the Internet platform to provide more possibilities for artistic innovation.In the context of the internet,the speech practices of new-generation directors not only provide new perspectives for the presentation of film works,but also serve as promotional tools to push artistic films from the screen into daily life.Although the development of our ’new media’ speech has only been for nearly ten years,the momentum is good.Therefore,this paper aims to explore the speech rhetoric of new-generation directors in the context of the internet,taking the speech text of new-generation directors in the official video of "YiXi" as the research object,to investigate the commonality of artistic concepts among new-generation film directors and the role of speech rhetoric in film promotion.The main body of this paper is divided into seven parts:Introduction,including research background,research objectives and significance,research objects and methods,related research reviews,and innovation points of the research.The second chapter elaborates on the production,development,characteristics,and functions ofnew-generation director speeches under the background of the internet.The third chapter introduces the development and applicability of multimodal discourse theory in this research.The fourth chapter uses Zhang Delu’s multimodal discourse analysis theory to analyze the film theme speech of YIXI in terms of culture,context,content,and expression.The fifth chapter summarizes the changes in artistic concepts of new-generation film directors by comparing the conclusions drawn from the multimodal discourse analysis with the current dissemination status of new-generation directors.The sixth chapter summarizes how film practitioners can perform speech rhetoric in the internet environment to achieve better results,based on the analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of speech rhetoric in the speech by new-generation directors in "YiXi".The last chapter concludes and looks forward to the future of film dissemination research by summarizing the commonality of artistic concepts of new-generation directors in the internet era and how speech rhetoric can promote film dissemination.
