Jin Cong(1449-1501),active in the Chenghua and Hongzhi dynasties of the Ming Dynasty,was a famous calligrapher and writer at that time.He was also an outstanding calligrapher under the influence of the Zhao style and a leading figure in the revival and vitality of Jinling calligraphy.In the process of studying Jinling calligraphy,the author found that a few calligrapher were famous at that time,but gradually lost their aura with the passage of time.Therefore,the author intends to carry out an in-depth study on the companions of Jin Cong and the art of calligraphy in view of the problems that these "little calligrapher" who are about to retire from history have not attracted enough attention and concern from the academic circle.In the process of his communication with Jinling calligraphers,it is not difficult to see that he had no political career,the pursuit of reading a clear way,such yearning also deeply influenced the calligraphy art of Jin Cong.Jin Cong studied very hard,and was the most charming calligrapher among Zhao people.His calligraphy was gentle and elegant,vigorous and simple,and it was very interesting for Yuan people,which was both practical and artistic.In this paper,the author analyzes the thought and artistic pursuit of Jin Cong and its achievements in writing through the reference data of Jin Cong’s intercourse,letters and other books.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part mainly introduces Jin Cong’s life,which mainly involved Ni Yue,Xu Yanming,Xu Lin,Shi Zhong and others.The second part mainly introduces Jin Cong calligraphy origin,from its existing book of trajectory analysis its learning book,namely early learning Zhao Mengfu,after mixing with jin tang,learn later in life The third part analyzes the artistic style of Jin Cong’s existing works,so that the audience can have a clearer understanding of the changes of his style of writing,that is,the early period is fresh and elegant,dignified and simple,and the later period is vigorous and elegant and simple.The fourth part discusses the influence and value of the calligraphy of Jin Cong,which provides great reference and enlightenment for us to learn and inherit the predecessors’ calligraphy.This paper analyzes the reasons for the gradual disappearance of Jin Cong in history,and hopes to draw more attention to the small scholars who were famous at that time,but were gradually ignored in later times.
