The countryside is the spiritual harbor of the Chinese people.In recent years,the traditional countryside is gradually disappearing.Driven by the rural revitalization strategy,tremendous changes have taken place in the countryside,from the way of life to the way of production to the concept of thinking.China’s diversified rural development policies have provided rich soil for the creation of documentary films on rural themes.In the context of poverty alleviation,Documentary films on rural themes in China have gained unprecedented development opportunities.The directors are full of ideas,showing both the traditional temperament of the countryside and the process of its development.As an important carrier of recording rural development and reform,many excellent works have emerged in recent years.However,documentary films on rural themes should not only be regarded as "witnesses" of rural reform and development,but more importantly,express the local complex of creators and carry on the inheritance and identification of homesickness culture.The local aesthetics in documentary films is expressed by the director through various aesthetic thoughts and concepts.The beauty of the countryside is rich and profound.Jiao Bo,known as the farmer director,devotes himself to writing the history of the countryside and the biography of the peasants.While assuming the social responsibility of recording the rural reform,he uses relevant aesthetic thoughts and theories to express his local aesthetics in documentary films.Based on an in-depth understanding of the creation concept and related aesthetic theories of Jiao Bo’s documentary films,this paper analyzes and interprets the natural beauty,social beauty,formal beauty and artistic conception beauty in his documentary films.Firstly,the paper defines the documentary film,determines the research object and scope,and sorts out jiao Bo’s creation experience,analyzes the formation and development of local aesthetics in Jiao Bo’s documentary film,and explains the value and significance of local aesthetics in Jiao Bo’s documentary film.Secondly,the paper starts from the natural beauty in the film recorded by the focal wave,and analyzes the aesthetic enjoyment and subjective meaning brought by the rural landscape to the audience under the guidance of the naturalization aesthetic theory of human beings.Thirdly,under the guidance of the theory of social beauty,the paper analyzes the expression of rural aesthetics through social beauty in Jiao Bo’s documentary films.From the behavior,mind and language of rural characters,to the rural labor activities,political activities,folk activities and the harmonious relationship between rural characters,all embody the social beauty of rural areas.Then,the paper analyzes the formal aesthetics in Jiao Bo’s documentary films,including the formal elements and formal rules of documentary films,the multi-dimensional expression of sincere rural feelings,and the formal beauty in the local aesthetics of Jiao Bo’s documentary films.Finally,from the perspective of artistic conception creation,the artistic conception of Jiao Bo’s documentary films is analyzed,and the charm of rural landscape is created through the technique of blending scenes and creating virtual reality.
