| The compiling and using of dance teaching materials have an influence on the cultivation of dance talents and the presentation of dance productions.Different schools’ selection of dance teaching materials typically reflects their talent training objectives,as well as the mode and features of how the school is operated. The teaching materials of folk dance have entered a stage of rapid development in China, and there are currently nearly 100 textbooks involving more than 10 ethnic groups.Among them, the development of dance textbooks for the Yi ethnic group in Yunnan is relatively weak, and it fails to show the characteristics of slightly different dance rhythms and styles in different regions and branches. The dance circle mainly regards the dance in Honghe Prefecture as the representative of the teaching and performance of Yunnan Yi dance, thereby overlooking Yunnan Yi dance style and regional features in the const ruction of educational materials, and fail to construct a system of pedagogical materials that pays equal attention to the education of cultural knowledge and the physical training of ethnic dance."Dage" of the Yi people in Weishan,Yunnan is a folk-art form
