Inner Truth

For a long time,through the continuous summary of painters and theorists of previous dynasties,Chinese painting has gradually formed a unique color setting system and color aesthetics.Morandi is an influential painter in the 20th century.He is considered to be the"closest" European painter to Chinese painting.The color in his picture is simple and mysterious,just like ink painting,with a long aftertaste.It is similar to the expression of the pursuit of simplicity and inner world in traditional Chinese ink painting.Through the analysis and comparison of works,this paper attempts to take the use of color as the starting point,re-examine Morandi’s inner world,explore Morandi’s color design concept,and explore the possibility of combining his color system with traditional fine brushwork combined with the author’s creative practice.This paper is divided into three parts:the first part compares the two perspectives of eastern and Western painting,and expounds the relationship between color setting and painting creation;The second part analyzes the color setting concept of Morandi’s painting,explores the influence of the external environment on Morandi’s inner world,and how Morandi applies the internalized color to his painting;The third part is the author’s creative practice,combing the influence of Morandi’s painting on the author’s creation.
