| Social anxiety not only affects the quality of friendship and campus adaptation of college students,but also affects their mental health and academic performance.Family environment is the most core micro-system in the ecosystem,and parental psychological control as a negative parenting method will affect individual social anxiety.Parental psychological control deprives individual autonomy and hinders the satisfaction of individual basic psychological needs through psychological invasion,which is the internal mechanism of parental psychological control affecting social anxiety.As a positive way of thinking and cognitive ability,sense of hope can help individuals re-examine social situations,social purposes,and so on,so as to alleviate their social anxiety experience.This study explored the influence of parental psychological control on college students’ social anxiety and its internal mechanism.The first study explored the relationship between parental psychological control,basic psychological needs,sense of hope and social anxiety by combining ecosystem theory and self-determining theory.1079 college students were tested with the parental psychological control scale,the basic psychological needs scale,the trait hope scale and the social anxiety scale.The results showed that:(1)parental psychological control significantly negatively predicted basic psychological needs and their dimensions(autonomy needs,ability needs and relationship needs);(2)Basic psychological needs and their dimensions significantly negatively predict social anxiety;(3)Basic psychological needs and their dimensions play a significant role in mediating between parents’ psychological control and social anxiety;(4)In the second half of the mediating pathway of hope regulation,specifically,compared with the low level of trait hope,under the condition of high level of trait hope,parental psychological control has a stronger indirect effect on social anxiety through basic psychological needs.According to the effect of target content,external goals will lead to greater anxiety of individuals,so the research further speculates that the target content of individuals with low basic psychological needs who want to think tends to be external goals.On the basis of study 1,study 2 will test the effect of hope writing task on social anxiety of individuals with low basic psychological needs through hope writing task activation state and hope level,and also test the target content of hope thinking.In study 2,a group with low basic psychological needs was selected from study 1 as experimental subjects,and 2(groups: state hope priming group and neutral emotion group)were used × 2(Measurement time: pre-test and post-test)mixed experimental design.The results showed that:(1)There was no significant difference in social anxiety level between the hope priming group and the neutral emotion priming group in the pretest and posttest;(2)The subjects in the experimental group hope that the written content tends to external objectives.The conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)parental psychological control significantly positively predicts college students’ social anxiety;(2)Parents’ psychological control significantly negatively predicted basic psychological needs and their dimensions;(3)Basic psychological needs and their negative dimensions predict social anxiety;(4)Basic psychological needs and their dimensions play a significant role in mediating between parents’ psychological control and social anxiety;(5)The second half of the mediating pathway of hope regulation,that is,compared with the low level of trait hope,under the condition of high level of trait hope,parental psychological control has a stronger indirect effect on social anxiety through basic psychological needs;(6)The target content of low basic psychological needs individuals’ hope thinking tends to be external.. |
