"Weakened Lines" And New Fine Brushwork Figure Painting Creation

Lines occupy an important position in the creation of Chinese painting,and "line" can"shape" and "reach" meaning ".In the creation of traditional fine brushwork,painters have accumulated rich experience in the research and application of lines.Since the middle and late 1980s,especially in the 20 years from the beginning of 2000s,under the background of continuous discussion and innovation in the painting and theoretical circles,some fine brushwork painters have started a new journey of painting exploration.Most of these artists,who were born in the 1970s,are thinking about the present in a new way of thinking,and have gradually formed a phenomenon,—— "new brushwork",which has been widely influenced.Compared with the traditional fine brushwork,some of their painters’ use of "line"has been weakening and dissolved.On the basis of inheriting the traditional fine brushwork,they absorbed the western painting concept,made a new exploration of the connotation of"line" and the technique of expression,and found a new direction for the creation and development of contemporary Chinese painting.This article is divided into five chapters:First,start from the significance of the topic selection,and introduce the research status quo,ideas,methods and innovation of the topic selection.The first chapter defines the category of "new fine brushwork" and explores the creation process of figure painting.The second chapter sorts out the development context of lines in traditional painting and seeks the basis for the phenomenon of line weakening.The third chapter,starting with the representative painter,analyzes the application of "weakened lines" in the creation of new fine brushwork figure painting,analyzes the presentation of "ideas" of the works after weakening the lines,and analyzes the choice of lines and the exploration of artistic language in the creation of figure painting.Chapter four,analyzes the causes of the weakening of lines.The fifth chapter,starting from their own creation,absorb and use the exploration results of the new fine brushwork figure painters for weakening the lines,give full play to the subjective initiative,and seek the new forms of expression of painting language.
