At present,there are two kinds of ideas in the study of Chinese character: "analysis by reason" and "analysis by shape".Under the idea of "analysis by shape",this paper splits 3500 characters in "Modern Chinese Commonly Used Character List" and gets the components of Chinese characters.On this basis,the paper quantitatively analyzes the shape and usage of the components,describes and summarizes the multi-layer structure of Chinese characters,and gets the following conclusions.A component is a combination of two or more strokes obtained by splitting Chinese characters.According to the results of splitting,the number of strokes,structure levels and the frequency of use are counted,and the cognitively easier and harder components are summed up;according to the numbers of characters directly constituted by components,flexible and inflexible components are obtained.Components which are easier to recognize and flexible to form are the focus of teaching,which are difficult to recognize and inflexible to form are the difficulties of teaching.Structure is the way of components combined.This paper makes statistics on the number of layers of Chinese character structure,describes the multi-layer structure,summarizes 3291 types of structures of Chinese characters when the description precision is the highest,and proposes to teach the 145 types of structures when described to the second level.The structures with fewer structural layers are simple,while those with many structural layers are complex;structures with more characters are common,and those with fewer characters are special.Chinese characters whose structures are simple and common are the focus of overall teaching,which should be relatively taught first;whose structures are complex and special are the difficulties of overall teaching and the focus of individual teaching,which should be relatively taught later.The shape-like aggregation of the smallest structure under the basic structure will help students develop structural awareness,improve the sensitivity of fonts,and form a systematic cognition of Chinese characters.At the theoretical level,this paper determines the definitions of "structure" and "component" under the idea of "analysis by shape",redefines the scope of single characters,and establishes a more precise structure classification;at the application level,summarizes the focus and difficulties of Chinese characters teaching.With relatively more precise structural classification,it helps students to recognize the multilayered structure of Chinese characters and better establish structural awareness.
